A Chinese Adventure!

Posted by on 17/06/2013

This week, Class 7 travelled to China. We packed our suitcases at the start of the week and have seen lots of wonderful sights. We have seen some Chinese dragons, painted in some colours that the children have mixed themselves. We have seen some beautiful Willow Pattern plates. The children created them using paper plates and blue crayons, pens and pencils. We have written our own stories about Koong-se and Chang. At the end of the week, we filled in our passports about our visit to China, describing how we got there and what we have seen and taken part in. Class 7 knew lots about China and could describe what they had seen including, China plates, dragons, pagodas, willow trees, pandas and even a pink river dolphin!

This week, we are in Italy! Already, Class 7 have made mini-pizzas. They were delicious! We will be writing some instructions on how to make them later this week.

We are all looking forward to the very sporty week ahead! Tomorrow is the Mini-Olympics for Year 2. Hilltop Infants will be representing Greece. We have got our flags ready to wave during the opening ceremony and we are all excited to take part in the various activities. Then on Friday, we will be taking part in our School Sports Day. We have been practising some of our skills and are ready to go! Class 7 are looking forward to giving all the activities a go and seeing some of our parents coming to support us to, if they can!
