Last week, everyone took part in our Resilience Challenge day. We had an assembly that explained all about resilience and what it meant. In our classes, we took part in lots of activities to practise being resilient. We built a house of cards, completed jigsaw puzzles, made loom bands, followed instructions to make cartoon, made tables out of lolly sticks and sorted slippery beads using tweezers. As an extra challenge, Class 7 were given 3 challenge cards throughout the morning. We had to run for 3 minutes without stopping, hula hoop without stopping and climb ropes and complete an assault course. It left us all very out of breath but we all tried really hard even when it was tricky. In the afternoon, we talked about our new Bounce Back award cards. Whenever an adult in school catches a child being super resilient they will get a stamp on their Bounce Back cards. We hope that our new resilience awards and our challenge day will help us all to be resilient super heroes!
