Bug hunting and baby rabbits!

Posted by on 02/05/2013

In Science this term we are looking at how things live and grow and so last week Class 7 went on a bug hunt. We looked on the playground, the field and among the trees and found lots of different mini-beasts. We recorded what we found in our topic books and had a go a labelling the different parts of the creatures. We also thought about the different habitats of the animals. Today we will look at the life cycle of a butterfly and a frog!

At the end of this week we will be thinking about writing our own bug riddles, using our adventurous words to make them really interesting to read.

Yesterday, Class 7 had a very exciting morning. Roxy’s pet rabbits have just had babies and her mum very kindly brought them in to show us. Everyone was really excited to see them and Class 7 had some fantastic questions to ask Roxy and her mum. We would like to say thank you to them for such a lovely treat!
