Happy Half Term!

Posted by on 25/10/2013

Our last weeks at school have been really busy!

In Literacy last week, we were learning about instructions. We made our own Pirate Biscuits and took photographs. We used our photos to plan our writing and we wrote our instructions on ‘How to make Pirate Biscuit’ in our Big Write! This week we have been looking at punctuation such as full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, speech marks and commas. We have also been practising using connectives to join two sentences. We got to practise using what we have learnt in our Big Write today! We got a message from a pirate who told us about the adventures at sea, then we had a go at writing our own pirate adventure.

In Maths, we have been learning all about time. We have been reading analogue clocks and practising our 5 times tables to help us read the time to 5 minute intervals. Class 7 have worked so hard!

Earlier this week, Class 7 performed in our Harvest Assembly. We enjoyed learning our song ‘Oh When the Leaves” and Class 7 sang beautifully in both performances.

Today, Class 7 had a great time having Golden Time with our toys as a reward for working SO HARD and filling up their marble jar!

Have a super half term break everyone!!!
