Happy New Year!

Posted by on 07/01/2013

Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you have all had a fun-filled 2 weeks. We would like to say thank you again for all our gifts, cards and holiday greetings.

This week in Literacy we are looking at story settings and we will be creating some of our own setting descriptions. We are looking forward to sharing the family photos and stories the have collected as part of their homework, later in the week, and we will have a go at placing the events on Class 7’s timeline.

We also have some news from Mrs Bryan about her bookshop:

The Bookshop Prize Draw took place at the end of term. All the reading activities that the children had completed were entered into the draw.

WELL DONE to Jasmine and Oliver Neville and Lucie Austin whose names were drawn out and have each won a book of their choice from the bookshop.

Just a reminder to everyone, if your child would like to collect stamps ask you class TA or Mrs Bryan in the bookshop, in the hall afterschool on a Monday, for details.

SALE – During the month of January, there will be a half price sale of all the books in the School Bookshop. So hurry and bag a bargain!!
