Welcome back Class 7! Hopefully you all had a lovely Easter break and have been enjoying some of the Spring weather we have been having. (Finally!) It was great to see the hard work you put into your home learning over the holidays. Class 7 have produced some really interesting work.
This term our topic is Bugs. We have been thinking about what different things including bugs need to live.
In Music, we have been learning to song “The Ugly Bug Ball”. Later in the half-term we will be creating our own music to go with the song and having a go at performing it in class.
Last week in Maths, we focussed on measuring capacity. We measured and mixed our own magic potions, practised reading from scales and estimated containers that were more or less than a litre.
In Literacy, we focussed on the poem “If I had Wings…” by Pie Corbett. We created our own imaginative verses in the same style and Class 7 produced some absolutely FANTASTIC poems of their own in their Big Writes. We were all really impressed!
Well done for a great first week back!
