Class 7 had an extremely busy week last week! On Tuesday, we took part in the KS1 Florence Nightingale day. It was great to see everyone dressed up and really getting into their roles. Florence told us all about the terrible conditions at Scutari Hospital. We helped her to make lots of the things that she would need on her trip. In the afternoon, we had to work really hard, as nurses, patients, gardeners, cooks, orderlies and cleaners to keep the hospital running smoothly! It was a fantastic day. We learnt a lot and had loads of fun!
On Thursday and Friday, we went to the CLC to learn all about Wickford. On the first day, we created our own town crests, built and tested bridges, used the radio room to record interviews and filmed ourselves discussing Wickford on the Macs. On Friday, we found the Memorial Park, our schools and our houses on Google Maps. We created posters and radio adverts to encourage tourists to come to Wickford. We learnt lots about what our town was like in the past and thought about what we would like it to be in the future. Class 7 behaved superbly, worked really hard and great fun was had by all.
