World Book Day

Posted by on 06/03/2014

What a wonderful day it’s been! Everyone’s costumes are all fantastic and it was very impressive that so many of Class 7 could say what book their character’s came from. We began our day by sharing who were where and the book we had chosen. We took part in our weekly reading activities and got to make a book mark to take home. After lunch, we had an assembly where Miss Stonely read ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson – Class 7’s author for this half term. We all voted between three books and ‘The Gruffalo’ was th winner. Then, some of Class 7 went to Class 2 and some of Class 2 came to us and we spent some time sharing books with the younger children. Next, we went on parade in the playground to show the rest of the school our costumes. Finally, we read in an unusual place all together! We went to the servery in the hall. It was a tight squeeze! Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful time!
